リスパダールとメラトベル、現在の服薬状況【2025年春】
10歳・自閉症の息子の服薬履歴
2025年4月、5年生になったタイミングで、GENEの服薬が再スタートしました。今回使用しているのは、**リスパダール（Risperdal）とメラトベル（Melatobel）**の2つ。

現在の処方内容と経過
6月現在、朝0.03g／夕0.05gのリスパダールと、夜のメラトベル2gを服用中。宿泊行事などの大きなイベントもありつつ、この処方でしばらく様子を見ることになっています。
5年生の春、GENEは弾けていた
環境の変化と暴れん坊モード
クラスメイトや教室は昨年と同じ。でも、先生が5人中4人も変わった5年生のスタート。にもかかわらず、GENEの表情は明るく、毎日が「お祭り」状態。
・新しい先生に注目してほしい
・泣いている友達が気になる
・身体が大きくなって力が強くなった
・先生たちの“スキ”が見えるようになった
…など、理由はきっといろいろ。でも、とにかく4月は弾けていたのです。
スキを狙う天才？イタズラ全開の4月
GENEは「楽しいこと」を見つけるのが得意。スキを見つけてはイタズラし、先生の対応を楽しむ日々。そして、今まで以上に暴力的な行動も目立ってきたのでした。
リスパダールで暴力は減る？増量の効果
少しずつ増量しながら、見えてきた変化
4月中旬に服薬を再開し、5月・6月と少しずつ量を増やしました。大きな変化は、暴力的な行動が減ったこと。以前は先生たちの手に引っかき傷が絶えず、「GENEかも…」という場面がしばしば。
暴力的な行動は落ち着いた？先生たちの手の傷から考える
6月になると、先生たちの手の傷が少なくなってきたように見えます。もちろん、先生方の対応力が上がった面もありますが、薬の効果も感じられるタイミングだったと思います。
イタズラ心と落ち着きのなさに薬は効く？
効かない「部分」もある？気になる副作用と観察ポイント
「暴力的な行動」は減ったように感じますが、イタズラ心や落ち着きのなさにはあまり変化が見られません。授業中に棚に登ったり、教室をそっと抜け出そうとしたり…そのエネルギーは健在です。
授業参観でもイタズラ炸裂
授業参観の日には、ニソニソ笑いながら一人で行動しようとする姿も（※この日の様子は別記事で紹介予定）。どうやら、「注意を引きたい気持ち」や「遊び心」には、リスパダールは効かないようです。
メラトベルで夜は寝る。でも…
外では寝る。家では…起きる
宿泊行事（中津川）やショートステイでは、メラトベルを飲むとスーっと寝るGENE。ところが、家では私が隣にいないと夜中に起きてしまい、私を呼びに来ます。
母の睡眠不足は継続中
「ジョージ（ぬいぐるみ）」と一緒に寝ているものの、母が同じ部屋にいないと気づいて起きる→呼びにくるの繰り返し。結果、母は毎日寝不足。
ただ、母が家にいないと諦めて寝ることもあるので、工夫次第で乗り越えられるかもしれません。
今後の見通しと「母のひとこと」
夏休み前までこの処方で様子を見て、必要に応じて調整予定。GENE自身も、新しい環境や先生に慣れてきた様子。少しずつ、歩幅を合わせていけるといいな。
母の本音としては――
薬の効果だけに頼るのではなく、GENEの「伝えたい気持ち」を拾いながら、日々を乗り越えていきたい。
……なんて言いつつ、本当の本当は、朝までぐっすり寝たい。
それでも、今日も眠い目をこすりながら、がんばっています。

Medication Timeline for My 10-Year-Old Son with Autism
In April 2025, as GENE entered the 5th grade, we restarted his medication. He is now on Risperdal and Melatobel.

We’ve gradually increased the dosage while observing his behavior.
Current Dosage and Observations
As of June, GENE takes 0.03g in the morning and 0.05g in the evening of Risperdal, along with 2g of Melatobel at bedtime. We’re continuing this dosage through the summer break to evaluate its effects.
Spring in 5th Grade: GENE Was Bursting with Energy
Changes at School and the Wild Start
Although his classmates and classroom remained the same, four out of five of his teachers changed this year. Despite this, GENE was excited—maybe a little too excited.
- He wanted attention from new teachers
- He didn’t like hearing classmates cry
- He’s grown stronger physically
- He could better detect when adults were distracted
Whatever the reason, one thing was clear: GENE was full of energy in April.
The Master of Mischief
GENE thrives on finding fun. He would spot an opening and act—sometimes in playful ways, sometimes with increased aggression. Yes, his behavior became noticeably more violent.
Does Risperdal Help with Aggression? What Happened After Increasing the Dose
Gradual Increase, Subtle Change
We started with a low dose and slowly increased it over two months. One significant change: his aggressive behavior has reduced. Previously, his teachers often had scratches on their arms—possibly from GENE.
Fewer Scratches = Medication Working?
By June, fewer scratch marks appeared on teachers’ hands. While it may partly be due to staff adapting, the timing matched the medication increase—so it felt like Risperdal was helping.
What About Mischief and Restlessness?
Not All Symptoms Are Affected
While aggression seemed to lessen, his urge to play tricks and his restlessness remained strong. GENE still tried climbing shelves or sneaking out of class with a mischievous grin.

Even during the school open house, he looked for chances to act out—something we’ll dive into in another blog post.
So far, Risperdal doesn’t seem to reduce his attention-seeking behavior.
Melatobel: Does It Help Him Sleep?
Sleeping Well—But Only Outside the Home
During short-stay trips and overnight school events, Melatobel works well. He falls asleep easily. But at home, if I’m not in the same room, he still wakes up and comes to find me.
Still Sleepless—Just Me
Even though he sleeps with his stuffed George, if I sneak out, he wakes up and calls me back. When I’m not home at all, he seems to give up and sleep.
So maybe this isn’t a serious issue—but I’m constantly sleep-deprived.
Looking Ahead: A Note from Mom
We’ll keep this dosage through summer and evaluate before making any changes. GENE seems more settled now, perhaps because he’s gotten used to his teachers, or maybe because the medication is doing its job.
Here’s what I really think:
Yes, I want to support GENE and understand what he’s trying to tell us.
But honestly? All I truly want is to sleep through the night.
And yet—here I am, rubbing my tired eyes, doing my best again today.
